Solvent Accessories

When it comes to what accessories can be used with dangerous goods products it is important to ensure that they are compatible with dangerous goods products. If not, you may find that the solvents will eat through the seals of the products, especially strong solvents like acetone.

Our 1, 5, and 20-litre drums are all suitable to hold a variety of solvents and can be stored for years as the plastic is dangerous goods approved. Also, in the 20-liter drums, there are a few accessories such as the screw in black and white tap and the drum in a tap. The difference between the two is explained below:

Black and white screw in tap: they are inserted in the bottom bung. You need to unscrew and take the bottom bung out, pierce a hole down the bottom and then you will be able to screw the tap in. You can turn on and off the nozzle to get the product out.

Drum tap in the lid: this item replaces the current drum with a tap that's already in the lid. You can then lay the product on its side allowing to pour out from the drum tap.
